Why our baby sleepsuits have scratch mitts up to 12 months

When we designed Stretchaboo we spent a long time talking about what size scratch mitts should stop at. Most other brands go to a maximum of six months so we considered doing the same.
But our instinct was that lots of parents (and babies!) find anti-scratch mitts useful for sizes 6-9 months and 9-12 months too.
Whether it's eczema, sensitive skin, sharp nails or temperature control, sometimes it's really useful to have the option of covering hands up.
So we went with built-in scratch mitts up to and including size 6-12 months, but with a fold back design that converts to bare hands easily.
We knew from our first's eczema troubles that the hypoallergenic properties of our 95% bamboo sleepsuits would be important for skincare.
But we're also pleased to hear that several of our early customers have found our baby grows with mitts for 6-12 month year olds useful too.
