Stretchaboo size guide

What size should I buy?

Understandably, one of the most common things we get asked is for help with sizing. All babies grow at different rates so finding something that fits them (and will still fit them in a couple of months time) can be a nightmare.

Luckily, our fabric is a 95% bamboo viscose, 5% spandex mix which is stretchier and thinner than cotton. This means:

1) It fits snuggly and stretches around baby - ideal for chunky monkeys

2) It rolls up really easily so it's easy to adjust to shorter arms and legs

3) It fits for longer than a typical cotton baby grow would. Our daughter is wearing both 18-24 months and 2-3 years at the same time at the moment, and though the smaller size is snugger, both fit her well.

Our size guide

Find your child's length and weight on the chart below to pick the right size. Stretchaboo baby grows are stretchy and designed to be worn snug. So we'd suggest going for a smaller size if in doubt, especially if your baby is a bit slimmer.

Size Length Weight
Newborn Up to 55cm Up to 7kg
0-3 months 55-65cm 6-7.5kg
3-6 months 65-75cm 7-9kg
6-12 months 70-85cm 8.5-11kg
12-18 months 80-90cm 11-12.5kg
18-24 months 85-95cm 12-14.5kg
2-3 years 95-105cm 13.5-17kg

Customer feedback on our sizing

You can read all our feedback on our reviews page. But here are a selection of our customers' comments on sizing:

My girl is coming up to 3 months and she is petite so it’s a bit of an annoying age regarding sizing. The 0-3 months is certainly big enough to fit her for a while I’d say, especially with the stretch! - BunnyLB

My baby also is a big lad, with very chunky legs and every time I zip I have to stretch the PJs to make sure I don’t catch his leg fat. Exasperated, I found your website after literally googling “pyjamas for babies with fat legs”. They’re great! - S

I bought 0-3 and 3-6 as my son is long and thought I wouldn’t get much use from the 0-3 - however it’s so stretchy that it’s actually a little big for him leg wise. Super happy - Emma-Katharine K.

The material is great quality and there is plenty of stretch for baby to grow so will likely last a while - Eva

My girl is a big girl, she’s one next month but she’s well into 12-18 and it fits her really nicely, she’s got a while left in it. - SJ
